arrive by air

OPTION 1 — CONVENIENT (WITH CONNECTION)

There are currently no direct flights from Toronto to Mallorca, but several airlines offer smooth connections with just one stop:

  • Air Transat and Porter Airlines provide affordable options with layovers in Europe.

  • Lufthansa and SWISS offer premium service with connections in Germany or Switzerland.

  • Air France and KLM connect through Paris or Amsterdam, allowing for an enjoyable stopover.

The total travel time is typically 14 to 16 hours, depending on the airline and layover duration.

OPTION 2 — COST EFFECTIVE (NO CONNECTION)

Book a flight to a major city (Barcelona, Paris, Roma, etc.) and book a separate budget flight to Mallorca the same day or the day after.

OUR TIPS —

  • Check platforms like Google Flights, Skyscanner, Kayak, and Momondo to compare prices across multiple airlines.

  • Search for flights in private browsing mode to avoid price increases based on your search history.

  • Use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to change your IP address and check fares from different countries—sometimes, booking from a different country can get you a cheaper deal.

travel to Palma

Here are the best transport options from Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) to the city center.

  1. Taxis

Duration — 15 minutes
Cost— ~€20-€25

Taxis are available 24/7 just outside the arrivals terminal.

No need to book in advance—just hop in and go.

Ideal if you have luggage or are traveling in a small group.

Tip: Some taxis don’t accept card payments, so have some euros on hand.

2. Bus (Line A1)

Duration — 20 minutes
Cost — €5 (one way)

The A1 Bus runs every 15 minutes from the airport to Plaza España, Palma’s main transport hub.

It’s the cheapest way to reach the city, with multiple stops along the way.

Buses operate from 06:00 to 02:00, so it's a great option unless you land late at night.

Tip: Buy your ticket directly from the driver (cash only) or use a contactless card.

3. Car rental

Duration — Depends on your destination
Cost — From ~€25 per day (plus fuel & insurance)

If you plan to explore Mallorca, renting a car at the airport is a great option.

Major companies like Sixt, Europcar, Hertz, and local providers have desks inside the terminal.

Mallorca’s roads are well-maintained, making it easy to drive around.

Tip: Book in advance for the best prices and check for hidden fees (like extra insurance).
